SC Farm Report on Wednesday
Cattle at SC auctions on Tuesday: No comparisons made this week on
feeder cattle due to limited comparable sales. Feeder Steers: Medium and
Large 1 400-500 none reported; 500-600 lbs 285.00. Feeder Bulls: Medium
and Large 1 400-500 lbs none reported; 500-600 lbs 265.00-275.00. Feeder
Heifers: Medium and Large 1 400-500 lbs 250.00-267.50; 500-600 lbs
230.00-252.50. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean none reported; Boners
80-85% lean 113.00-129.00; Lean 85-90% lean 107.00-112.00; Lean Low

Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 0.65 lower at 68.45.
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 54.78; 450-500 lbs 60.49; 500-550 lbs 60.21.
SC Grain on Wednesday: Corn was mostly 4 to 6 cents lower; elevator
bids 4.03-4.97, processor bids 4.72-5.02. Soybeans were 1 cent lower;
elevator bids 10.31-11.26, processor bids 12.11, and export 12.26. New
crop wheat bids were 4 cents lower to 11 cents higher; elevator bids
4.73-5.83.
Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.71
lower at 77.76.
